How is FRONTLINE/World different from FRONTLINE?
FRONTLINE/World is produced jointly by KQED public television in San Francisco and FRONTLINE producers at WGBH public television in Boston. FRONTLINE/World will continue the long-established FRONTLINE tradition of serious, independent reporting, but we will have our own distinct identity. First, FRONTLINE/World's focus will always be international. Second, each World episode will feature several short stories as opposed to one hour-long documentary. Third, we'll be working with a younger, more diverse group of journalists -- writers and producers from other countries as well as the United States -- who will take viewers on a journey of discovery to another country or culture. Some of these reporters will be seasoned journalists or even a well-known novelist or poet like Andrei Codrescu; others will be recent graduates of journalism schools who have never produced for television before. All of them will be thoughtful, curious individuals with a compelling story to tell.

Who does FRONTLINE/World's theme music?
The Supreme Beings of Leisure, a Los Angeles-based electronic pop band, created our music. Their music ranges from trip-hop to funk to retro-tinged disco. One reviewer calls the group "good hodge-podge techno." Hodge-podge isn't a bad way to describe a band whose members' relatives hail from countries as diverse as India, Iran, Japan, the Dominican Republic and Ireland. So far, the Supreme Beings of Leisure have released two CDs.

Please visit the react section on each of our story pages. We welcome your feedback regarding our programs and publish many of these comments on the Web site so that others can read them. As with "Letters to the Editor" sections of newspapers or magazines, we cannot publish all letters (we get hundreds after each new story). We try to post a good cross-section of comments. And, yes, we read every letter.
