On The Road in South San Francisco

The South San Francisco dump has more going on than one would imagine.

Environmental technician Gary Keep started a lunchtime band, using his finds as instruments.

The Dump Band didn't have its own music video -- until the crew of Livelyhood came to visit.

Garbage and hazardous waste are growth industries. Just look at it all!

The band rehearses before the big shoot.

Livelyhood's first one-hour special, "Shift Change," aired on PBS in fall 1997. For information on how to order the show, call 510-268-WORK.
