Business, Environmental Coalition Among Players Pushing for Climate Change Bill

By: Judy Woodruff

We're starting a series of conversations here on the Rundown about where climate change legislation stands in Congress. Among the players: A large consortium of American corporations and environmental groups, who are pushing Congress to adapt new laws to regulate carbon emissions and to encourage new energy policies. The United States Climate Action Partnership includes some of the largest U.S. companies, in addition to groups like the Environmental Defense Fund.

On Tuesday, we spoke with a representative of the partnership, Peter Molinaro, vice president of federal and state government affairs for the Dow Chemical Company. We'll have more conversations on this in the weeks ahead.
