9 Years of 'Unbuilding' the World Trade Center in New York

To mark the ninth anniversary the Sept. 11 attacks, we have gathered 25 aerial images of lower Manhattan, spanning more than half a century. The images reveal an always-changing city, and the visible efforts to "unbuild" the World Trade Center after the attacks.

The aerial images can be viewed as an animated time-lapse slide show or as individual slides.
