Watch Live NewsHour Special Report: 'America Remembers 9/11'
This weekend marks 10 years since the attacks of 9/11, and people across the country -- and around the world -- will be pausing to mark the moment.
The PBS NewsHour will have special broadcast coverage starting at 8 p.m. ET Sunday. It's a program entitled "America Remembers 9/11."
Here's the lineup:
Hari Sreenivasan will report on the three major memorial observances at ground zero in New York City, at the Pentagon near Washington, D.C., and in Shanksville, Pa.
Jeffrey Brown will speak with contributors to a new book, "Legacy Letters." They have all written letters, filled with insights gained in the past 10 years, to the family members they lost when the Twin Towers collapsed.
Ray Suarez will explore the attitudes of American Muslims, their efforts to get beyond the deep mistrust caused by 9/11, and their perspectives on the future.
Judy Woodruff introduces viewers to a generation of young Americans who know only a post-9/11 world and visits a small town in California that has made extraordinary contributions, in terms of young lives lost, to the conflicts in Iraq and Afghanistan.
Gwen Ifill will explore a decade of war's impact on hundreds of thousands of soldiers and their families and the nation's efforts to care for them.
We'll also have live coverage of President Obama's address at the "Concert for Hope" at the Kennedy Center.

But you don't have to wait until 8 p.m. for NewsHour coverage to begin: We'll have live streaming video and more coverage Sunday morning starting at 8 a.m. ET, as ceremonies take place at ground zero, the Pentagon and in Shanksville. We'll also post video to our YouTube channel, track events and memorials here on The Rundown blog and offer Web-only 9/11 anniversary content from NewsHour correspondents and reporters .
Our digital efforts are anchored by our 9/11 Video Quilt project. Working with local PBS stations around the country, we've collected the views of many Americans on what's changed in 10 years, the relationship between Muslims and non-Muslims and the balance between civil liberties and security.
The NewsHour is just one of the Sunday evening offerings on PBS:
5-7 p.m. ET | Frontline "Faith and Doubt at Ground Zero" (encore)
7-8 p.m. ET | NOVA "Engineering Ground Zero"
8-9:30 p.m. ET | PBS NewsHour: "America Remembers 9/11"
9:30-11 p.m. ET | Great Performances "A Concert for New York"
We hope you join us.
