New GlobalPost Series 'The Rainbow Struggle' Highlights Gay Rights Fight

Kevin Grant, GlobalPost's deputy editor of special reports, speaks with Hari Sreenivasan about a series of in-depth reports that launches Monday highlighting developments and incidents of violence in the fight for gay rights around the world.

In Turkey, a man killed his gay son in a so-called "honor killing." In South Africa, men in some communities rape lesbian women to "correct" their sexuality.

For two months, GlobalPost will publish reports in "The Rainbow Struggle" series on its website. View their primer here.

Another story walks the path of those who flee to Beirut each year from other parts of Lebanon to escape discrimination and violence. GlobalPost also revisits Argentina's historic legalization of gay marriage a year later.
