Mark Shields and David Brooks were reunited in the NewsHour newsroom for the Doubleheader Friday, chatting in the informal setting for the first time since the conventions. I was filling in for Hari Sreenivasan, who will return to hosting the Doubleheader next Friday.

We started off with a discussion about Romney's clean bill of health.

For our "politics of sport" section, we talked about Ryan's obsession with P90X.
