Kesler's book examines liberalism in the modern political era and how President Obama fits in as a political thinker and leader.

Kesler is the Dengler-Dykema Distinguished Professor of Government at Claremont McKenna College. He is co-editor, with William F. Buckley Jr., of "Keeping the Tablets: Modern American Conservative Thought."
