What Do You Think of Obama's Gun Control Agenda?

In an address earlier today, President Barack Obama announced his legislative proposals for gun control, including a requirement for universal background checks for all gun sales and the reinstatement and strengthening of the assault weapons ban.
Last night on NewsHour, NRA President David Keene told Judy Woodruff that such restrictions and any ban on assault weapons or high-capacity magazines was "an attack on the Second Amendment," adding, "It is an attack on those Americans who purchased and legally use firearms, who have never committed a criminal act, who have never done anything wrong. And they can say that it doesn't infringe upon their rights, but, in fact, it does."
We want to hear from you. Do you think gun control and restriction is a necessity to the country's safety, or is it an attack on your Constitutional rights? Consider this an open thread.
