The bomb went off at approximately 9:35 a.m. along the Jersey Shore in Seaside Park, according to a statement released by the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office. The third annual Semper Five run was subsequently cancelled. “The start of the run was delayed, which thankfully avoided a large number of runners in the area,” the statement read. The device was put in a plastic garbage can before it exploded. Authorities put the area on lockdown as police conducted a search. No injuries were reported. We're not going anywhere.
