Nation Commemorates Anniversary of Attacks
A Tribute in Light over New YorkIn the two years since the Sept. 11 attacks, how has, or hasn't, the United States changed? Jim Lehrer examines this issue with a panel of six experts including authors, professors and cultural observers.

Update: Marked by tears and moments of silence, ceremonies in New York and at the Pentagon commemorated the second anniversary of the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks that killed more than 3,000 Americans.

Also, Susan Dentzer revisits burn victim Navy Lt. Kevin Shaeffer, who was injured in the Sept. 11 attack on the Pentagon.

Plans for the Pentagon Memorial With the Pentagon's rebuilding effort complete, plans for a permanent memorial to the victims of the Sept. 11 attack are progressing. Plans are also taking shape for a future memorial in Shanksville, Pennsylvania.
