Russian-American Project On Economic, Political, Moral And Religious Philosophy

In association with Lindisfarne Press, the Project will continue the publication of a multi-volume series of works by Russian philosophers of the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. The first in this series, Nikolai Berdyaev's The Russian Idea, was published in 1992. This was followed by Vladimir Solovyov's The Meaning of Love, Crisis of Western Philosophy, and War Progress and the End of History, and Sergei Bulgakov's Sophia. Today philosophers such as Berdyaev, Solovyov, and Bulgakov are regaining prominence in the rebirth of Russian religion, spirituality, and free-thinking. Through English-language translations of such works, TRAC will expose non-Russians to these ideas which have influenced both past and contemporary Russian thought.
