Safety on the Road
You are driving down a dark road and suddenly a small group of deer jumps in your path. You slam on the brakes, but it's too late. Your accident is just one of approximately 500,000 deer/auto collisions that occur each year. According to the Insurance Information Institute, your accident will cost you about $2,000, not to mention any pain and suffering. Factors, including a lack of top predators, have allowed deer populations to rise which contributes to more frequent run-ins with wildlife.
