Your Environment
Whether on land or in the sea, top predators play a significant and complicated role — one that we're just now beginning to understand. As Aldo Leopold so eloquently states in the Sand County Almanac, “Who but a fool would discard seemingly useless parts? To keep every cog and wheel is the first precaution of intelligent tinkering.” As we continue to impact habitats and predator populations, we risk losing insight into how these animals influence the dynamics of our natural systems.
