This episode truly shows the special bond between horse and rider. Whether you’ve been riding for five years, or you just love the way a horse runs, this video is packed with new information and beautiful horses.

Absolutely phenomenal. I ride and compete in Western Pleasure and have always wanted to learn a little bit about different diciplines, since two of my horses are retired polo ponies. This episode hits the nail on the head with the beautiful description of what a horse and rider team truly are. I am completely amazed at the knowledge of the producers and everyone who worked on this episode, especially because it’s not a generally equestrian series. 7 out of 5 stars, I just may watch this one again!

  6. Gary Kline says:

My dad owned a horse back in the 50’s but I never had the opportunity to ride her. It wasn’t until I was at college about 30 years on that I learned to ride–stable up in the Berkeley Hills. I got up there as often as I could and enjoyed every minute! About five years ago a friend came up for a visit and we found a stable that would let the disabled ride. Sure enough, skills learned a quarter-century earlier came back instantly.

Shows like this are why I support public broadcasting.
