This article and accompanying photos are breathtaking. They really emphasize the similarity between these beautiful animals and humans.

Charlie and Maureen raised their cubs well and taught them how to survive and their places amongst the world. Their essential work tries to teach us those same lessons.

We need to start remembering that we're a part of this world, not some separate, removed, higher entity. We need to relearn how to live as a member of the world, rebuilding bridges with our co-inhabitants.

Charlie and Maureen are excellent teachers, who inspire the world with their obvious passion, patience, joy and love of these magnificent creatures. One can only hope that we prove as capable students as their bears.

I pray all poachers suffer a long agonizing death for killing bears and all wildlife. The Middle East makes bears suffer and hopefully those people should suffer. Charlie and Maureen have been God-sends to these bears - bless them for all their work and those who continue to protect these precious animals.
