Referred
to as The Queen of Nebraska Quilters, Grace Snyder grew up on a ranch
in the sandhills area of Nebraska and lived to the age of 100.
Grace began stitching as a child and used her needle skills to pass the time while watching over cattle.
The "Flower Basket Petit Point" quilt was inspired by a design on a set of china made by the Salem China Company in Salem, Ohio. Grace contacted the company for permission to use the design.
In return she received not only permission, but also a complete set of the china. The quilt contains 85,875 pieces.
