Biden 223, Trump 174 as critical states yet to be called

Joe Biden currently has 223 electoral votes and President Donald Trump has 174, according to the Associated Press. Most of the major battleground states have yet to be called, including Georgia, Texas, Arizona, North Carolina and the Rust Belt states that were critical to Trump’s election in 2016 — Michigan, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin.

Record early turnout and mail-in voting means the process of tallying ballots will take longer than in previous years, and could continue for several days. Pennsylvania, North Carolina and Texas will also continue to accept mailed ballots received in the coming days as long as they are postmarked on or before Nov. 3.
