Trump to request recount in Wisconsin

President Donald Trump’s campaign manager Bill Stepien said in a statement Wednesday that the president plans to “immediately” request a recount in Wisconsin, a battleground state critical to his election four years ago where votes are still being counted and neither candidate has been declared a winner.

If the distance between the two candidates is within 1 percentage point when all ballots are counted, the trailing candidate has the right to force a recount.

Wisconsin is worth 10 electoral votes. As it stands, Joe Biden has 238 electoral votes and the president has 213.
