With votes still being counted, Trump falsely claims election victory

With multiple key battleground states still counting ballots, President Donald Trump falsely said he had won the election and that “we’ll be going to the Supreme Court.” This comes as many fiercely contested states, including Georgia, North Carolina, Michigan, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin, have not yet been called. “We are reporting what the president said, but we are also reporting that much of what the president said is incorrect,” said the NewsHour’s Judy Woodruff.

Since March, Trump has without evidence claimed that mail-in voting is prone to fraud, despite reports from researchers and officials in both major parties disputing his claims.
