Haaland spoke about Harris’ positions on climate change, while former President Donald Trump calls it a hoax. “An American president must lead the world in tackling climate change,” Haaland said. We need a president who understands that assignment. I know [Harris’] record. Kamala Harris and Tim Walz fight for a future where we all have clean air, clean water and healthy communities.” Harris’ speech is her first official chance to offer her vision for the country to voters. Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz formally accepted the vice presidential nomination the day before.
