He then claimed the Biden-Harris administration was responsible for high inflation, though economists say presidents can’t do very much to control inflation. “I had no inflation, virtually no inflation. [Biden-Harris] had the highest inflation perhaps in the history of our country because I’ve never seen a worse period of time,” Trump said. “People can’t go out and buy cereal or bacon or eggs or anything else. The people of our country are absolutely dying with what [Biden and Harris have] done. According to the latest PBS News/NPR/Marist poll, more than two-thirds of Americans say they will watch all or most of the debate.
