PBS NewsHour Introduces Content and Social Partnership with OZY Media

The PBS NewsHour, co-anchored by Gwen Ifill and Judy Woodruff, and OZY Media, one of the fastest growing digital news magazines, are coming together to highlight each other’s excellent journalism and to introduce new stories and engage with each media organization’s respective audience. NewsHour and OZY will selectively feature each other’s content online and on social media, and collaborate on broadcast segments to include OZY co-founder Carlos Watson and PBS NewsHour co-anchor Gwen Ifill discussing internet trends and highlights.

“I’ve been a fan of OZY since its September 2013 launch. When the idea to partner with them was first raised, I was eager to make it an early priority as we grow and diversify NewsHour’s content relationships,” said PBS NewsHour executive producer Sara Just, who joined the program in September 2014. “Our viewers join us online and each night for the most compelling, thoughtful, and interesting stories of the day and we trust that OZY original content and Carlos’ fresh insights will only make that even better.”

“PBS NewsHour sets the bar for quality reporting and Gwen has reached the pinnacle of respect in the world of journalism,” said Watson, CEO and co-founder of OZY. “In just over a year, we just reached 7 million unique visitors last month and are seen and heard by millions more through our partners. As we continue to grow, we’re thrilled to be working closely with PBS NewsHour and sharing a commitment to give our audiences a fun and fresh way to learn about what’s new and what’s next.”
