PBS NewsHour Presidential Primary Debate Sanctioned by the Democratic National Committee
To be Held in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, on Thursday, February 11, 2016, at 9 PM ET

WASHINGTON, D.C. – PBS NewsHour will host the fifth Democratic Presidential Primary Debate sanctioned by the Democratic National Committee on Thursday, February 11, 2016, at 9pm ET, at the Helen Bader Concert Hall in the Helene Zelazo Center for the Performing Arts on the main campus of the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. The debate will be broadcast live on PBS and will stream live on NewsHour’s website. PBS NewsHour co-anchors and managing editors Gwen Ifill and Judy Woodruff will moderate.

To RSVP, media outlets and journalists must completely fill out the media credential request form for a credential to be approved.
Due to security constraints, only those registered by 5:00 p.m. ET on Friday, February 5 will be allowed access. Press credentials will only be granted to working journalists. Applications for credentials are subject to review by the DNC and PBS NewsHour.
If you are requesting additional accommodations beyond a basic workstation, such as a stand-up booth, outdoor stand-up location, satellite truck parking, see additional information below and you must fill out a Zendesk request form IN ADDITION TO the basic media credential request form.
PRESS CREDENTIAL PICK-UP
Credential pick-up will be located at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee Student Union, 2200 E Kenwood Blvd, Milwaukee, WI 53211 outside of the 2nd floor Ballroom.
All confirmed members of the press must pick up their credentials in person between 9:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. CT on Wednesday, February 10 or Thursday, February 11. You must show photo identification and a current recognized media ID or press card.
Press credentials will NOT provide access to the debate hall or candidate arrivals.
SPIN ROOM AND PRESS FILING CENTER
On February 11, the Spin Room and Press Filing Center will be open from 6:00 a.m. to 12:00 a.m. CT, to credentialed individuals only.
The Spin Room will be open for pre-set on Wednesday, February 10 from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. CT.
All bags, equipment, cameras, and personal items will be checked by security personnel. Please allow ample time for parking and security checks.
To request additional rate card services an order needs to be placed by February 9 via http://DemDebates.Zendesk.com. Orders will be accepted at any time however if your outlet is not approved for credentials your order will be cancelled and a full refund will be issued. Services available include:
Food and refreshments will be available at no cost in the Press Filing Center during the day of the debate.
SPIN ROOM LIVE SHOT INFORMATION
There will be a limited number of live stand-up positions available in the Spin Room. To request a stand-up position in the Spin Room please place an order for a “Stand-up Position/Booth” via http://DemDebates.Zendesk.com by the credential registration deadline of 5:00 p.m. ET on Friday, February 5. If your outlet is not approved for credentials and/or a Spin Room stand-up position your order will be cancelled and a full refund will be issued.
Media outlets granted a live stand-up position in the Spin Room must transmit by satellite/microwave truck. Please see map for satellite/microwave truck parking.
OUTDOOR STAND-UP LOCATION
There will be a limited number of outdoor stand-up locations available located outside the Student Union at the intersection of Kenwood & Maryland.
Outdoor stand-up locations will be available starting at 6:00 a.m. CT on Wednesday, February 10 through 12 p.m. CT on Friday, February 12.
Outdoor stand-up location space is limited and must be requested in-addition to press credential registration. Only approved media outlets will have access to outdoor stand-up locations on Media Row.
Requests must be received by 5:00 p.m. ET on Friday, February 5. You can apply for a spot on Media Row, apply for credentials and request truck parking at: http://DemDebates.Zendesk.com.
SATELLITE/MICROWAVE TRUCK PARKING
By Tuesday, February 9 at 5:00pm ET media outlets must provide license plate details and truck dimensions for any satellite/microwave trucks they wish to park on site. Please submit this information to TJ Helmstetter, DebateMedia@DNC.org.
