Indonesian officials and rebels from the Free Aceh Movement, or GAM, signed a truce Monday ending nearly three decades of fighting over the province of Aceh's independence.
Hundreds of Indonesian troops moved into the rebel province of Aceh Monday in an offensive aimed at dispersing rebels who have fomented revolution in the oil-rich region for decades.
