By Stephanie Sy, Madison Staten, Lena I. Jackson

Nation Oct 22

AguĂlas del Desierto search and rescue crew recover the body and clothing of a migrant who attempted to make the crossing on May 27, 2017 in the Cabeza Prieta wilderness near Ajo, Arizona. Many of the remains are found under the little shade that's available in the harsh desert, signaling that they were desperate for a reprive from the sun. (Photo by Caitlin O'Hara/Getty Images)
