‘Apprentice’ contestant’s defamation suit against Trump can proceed, court rules

Citing a U.S. Supreme Court ruling involving President Bill Clinton, the judges said presidents can be sued in state courts over things not related to their official duties.

Trump appeals again to delay suit filed by ‘Apprentice’ contestant

Trump’s lawyers filed notice late Monday that they’re asking the state Court of Appeals to freeze Summer Zervos’ suit while a lower appellate court considers Trump’s request to dismiss it or postpone it until after his presidency.

A New York court said Thursday that former "Apprentice" contestant Summer Zervos can proceed with her defamation lawsuit against President Donald Trump, at least for now.
