A federal appeals court has heard arguments in the case of a transgender man who sued a Virginia school board after he was barred as a student from using the boys' bathrooms at his high school.
The justices rejected an appeal from students who argued that a school district policy allowing transgender students to use the same facilities violated their right to privacy.
For nearly four years, Gavin Grimm has been suing his former school district after it banned him from using the boys bathrooms in high school.
