Supreme Court rejects appeal to reinstate Virginia school’s transgender bathroom ban

The Supreme Court has rejected a Virginia school board's appeal to reinstate its transgender bathroom ban. Over two dissenting votes, the justices on Monday left in place lower court rulings that found the policy unconstitutional.

A federal appeals court has heard arguments in the case of a transgender man who sued a Virginia school board after he was barred as a student from using the boys' bathrooms at his high school.
