But it is not by any stretch of the imagination a rebuilt city yet,” Merten said. “What we are looking and hoping to help the Haitians do is to build back better, not just build back in the same problems that we had here on the 11th of January 2010.” Brown is in Haiti this week to report on reconstruction efforts from the Jan.12, 2010, earthquake that devastated the Port-au-Prince area, and on the cholera outbreak continuing to spread through the country.
