Design an Argyle Vest Inspired by "Carl the Collector"

Carl and his friends appreciate what makes each of them special and unique. An argyle vest is something Carl likes wearing every day because it makes him feel comfortable and stylish. Encourage your child to express their individuality by designing their own argyle vest using sensory-friendly materials. Your child will love creating this vest to dress up and pretend to be just like their favorite character, Carl!
Materials
Directions
Place the paper bag on a hard surface with the opening end down. Make sure the side of the bag with the bottom flap is facing up. Remove handles if your bag has them.
Cut the edges off the flap from the bottom of the bag.

Lay the bag flat with the neck hole at the top. Trim off the side flaps.

Put your hands inside the bag to open it up and then press in down flat.

Find the center of the bag and cut a "V" shape.

Find the center of the front side of the bag (opposite the bottom). Cut a straight line from the bottom edge up to the neck hole. Turn the vest inside out if you have any writing on the outside of the bag. This will be the back of your vest.

Decorate the vest! Use tape or glue to stick the diamonds on your vest. Or use other items such as markers, or crayons to make the vest your own!

Try on the vest. Put the vest on with the opening in the back.
