DIY Rattle Drum

Cut the ends off of both of the balloons. Stretch one balloon over one mason jar lid.
Stretch the other balloon over the other mason jar lid.
Cut the string so that it's about seven inches long. Make a knot at one end of the string. Thread four beads onto the string. Make a knot at the other end of the string. Move the beads on the string so that there are two beads on one end and two beads on the other.
Trace one of the mason jar lids on the cardboard. Cut out the circle. Add dots of glue around the edge of the cardboard.
Place one of the mason jar lids on top of the glue and hold it in place.
Flip the lid over and tape the string to the middle of the cardboard.
Add dots of glue around the edge of the cardboard. Place the second mason jar lid on top of the glue and hold it in place.
Place the skewer in between the mason jar lids and push it into place. Then, secure it with glue.
