Make a Wallet Out of Tape

Create a homemade wallet gift for Father's Day, Grandparent's Day, Mother's Day, or any day! Make the gift even more special by choosing tape in your loved one’s favorite colors or adding other embellishments!
Materials
Directions
Cut the tape into strips that are 8 inches long and 3 inches wide. These will make the “fabric” of your wallet.

Cut another 3 ½ inch long and 2 ¼ inch wide piece. This piece will become the pocket of your wallet.

To make the front of the wallet, take the “fabric” pieces and lay them sticky side up. Overlap them and stick them together. Repeat until the pieces are an appropriate length.

Layer more pieces sticky side down on top of the existing piece until it is completely covered.

Repeat steps 3 and 4 with your leftover 8 inch by 3 inch pieces to make the back piece of the wallet.
Seal the front and back pieces together with more tape strips.

Tape the card pocket onto the right-hand side of the front of the wallet.

Fold the wallet in half so that the pocket is now on the inside.

If you’re using a second color of tape, use small pieces of it to write a word or a message on the outside of the wallet. If not, use a marker to write or draw a picture, or leave it blank. You can also use other craft supplies to decorate the outside of the wallet.
