Wrapped Earth crayon favors on plate

Together with your child, you can upcycle your green, blue, and white crayons to make earth crayons as a take home gift for your next nature-inspired gathering.

Materials

Directions

1

Preheat the oven to 250 degrees.

2

Remove the paper wrapper from your crayons and break them into small pieces.

3

Fill each of the muffin tins about an inch high with the pieces of crayons, starting with a layer of a few pieces of white and topped with green and blue crayons.

4

Bake for about twenty minutes, or until all of your crayons are melted.

5

Remove your muffin tin from the oven, being careful not to mix up the colors of the melted crayon.

6

Allow your earth crayons to cool on the counter and then refrigerate them for about 20 minutes.

7

Once your earth crayons are cooled, turn the tin upside down and tap the bottom of the muffin molds until all of your crayons are removed from the tin.

8

Print and cut your PBS Printable favor tags and cut a small slit at the top corner of the tag, threading it with twine or ribbon and tying the favor closed. Place them on your Wild Kratts party table to thank your guests for sharing your little one’s birthday!
