How tall is each member of your family? Use non-standard measuring tools from around your house such as shoes or books to measure each person. “How many books tall is each person?” “How many shoes tall is each person?”

Compare the size of objects in nature. Collect a few items such as a leaf, a flower, and a rock. Then make comparisons. Notice which is the largest, smallest, longest, shortest, etc.

Arrange objects in size order. Use objects from around your home such as books, coloring tools, rocks, or leaves. For example: Compare the sizes of four rocks and then arrange them from smallest to largest. You can also notice if any objects are the same size.
