Host a T-E-A Party

Throw a T-E-A party with your child. Prepare food that starts with the letters T, E, and A, and let your child create sandwiches in the shape of letters.

Materials

T, E, and A shaped cookie cutters (or a butter knife)
Items for making sandwiches
Pre-made biscuit dough
“Letter T” foods: e.g. tea, tomatoes, tuna salad, tapioca pudding
“Letter E” foods: e.g. hard-boiled eggs, edamame (soybeans), English muffin
“Letter A” foods: e.g. apples, apricots, avocado, applesauce, almonds
Butcher paper or pieces of paper for placemats
Crayons/markers

Directions

Prepare a feast using foods that start with T, E, and A.

Cut out T, E and A shaped sandwiches using cookie cutters or a butter knife.

Make and bake T, E and A shaped biscuits.

Prepare any other foods you desire that start with T, E, or A.

Set the table with paper placemats or butcher paper.

Lay a paper tablecloth (butcher paper) or placemats (white paper) on a table and set out the crayons and markers. With your child, write the letters T, E and A all over your tablecloth. You may want to draw the letters with dotted lines and then have your child trace the letters.

Serve food and enjoy your T.E.A. party!
