Make a Habitat Mapping Game

See what happens when human impact divides animal habitats by playing the Habitat Mapping Game with your child.
Before You Play
Explain to your child that a habitat is a place where plants and animals have the food, water, and shelter that they need to survive. Tell her that sometimes roads, buildings, railroads, and other human-made construction, or natural disasters, break up habitats and separate animals from the things they need. Your child will need a partner for this activity. If possible, preview the Cyberchase episode “Creech’s Creature Quandary” with your child.
