Send your backyard sleuths on a scavenger hunt to find items and textures from nature.

Directions

Give each child, or team of children, a pencil and a copy of the Nature Cat Scavenger Hunt printable.

Instruct children to look around your yard for items on the scavenger hunt list. Check off items as they are found. For items that have an empty box, such as "something soft," children can tape, draw, or write the name of the item they found .

When everyone is done, encourage children to share their lists and scavenger hunt adventures.
