Make setting the Thanksgiving table fun with this shadow activity!

Take the construction paper outside on a sunny day. Place the objects on the paper. Leave them for a few hours.

Take off the objects, give them to your child, and see if they can match the shadow with the object!
If you're teaching your child how to set the table for Thanksgiving, this is a great way to show them a basic plate setting! You can also laminate the paper for durability.
