Inspire and encourage a range of creativity with recycled goods and household items by making your own tin can robot.

Materials

Directions

1

Make sure the tin cans are clean and free of sharp edges.

2

Set up a space where your child can organize and play with all of the materials. Some children will sort them, while others may use the space to construct different faces for the robots.

3

Glue the pieces onto the cans as your child sees fit. She might use a disk magnet as a pupil, an eye or even a belly button. Let your child construct, deconstruct and reconstruct different robot personalities.

4

Save your pieces! This activity provides a great source of fun on a rainy day.
