Experiment with watercolor resist techniques while making some less-than-creepy Halloween decorations.

Materials

Directions

1

Draw a spider web with the rubber cement on the watercolor paper. Let it air out and dry for a few hours.

2

Paint over the spider web outlines. Once everything is dry, peel off the rubber cement so you'll see the white lines that it leaves, creating a white spider web!

3

To make the spider, cut the pipe cleaners and bend them to form the legs. Glue the pom-pom balls to the pipe cleaner legs. Add your googly eyes.

Place the spider on the web to create a fun and colorful Halloween decoration for your house.
