Create a unique photo frame gift for Mother's Day, Father's Day, Grandparent's Day or any day! Make the gift even more special by including a family photo or choosing yarn in favorite colors. What a great way to celebrate friends, family and loved ones.

Materials

Directions

1

Gather your supplies.

2

Carefully remove the backing and glass from frame.

3

Cut several approximately 18" long pieces of both colors of yarn.

4

Begin wrapping a strand of yarn around the frame from one inside corner. With the wrong side of the frame facing you, put a dab of glue and a yarn end at your starting point.

5

Wrap the yarn around the frame edge six times. Then glue the end of that piece of yarn end down and cut off the excess.

6

Switch yarn colors and repeat the process until one edge is wrapped.

7

Repeat for the remaining three sides. Let the glue dry completely.

8

Add your photo, glass and backing to the picture frame. Note that the yarn will likely take up some of the space that was formerly used for the glass and the backing, so when putting the frame together it may be a good idea to place the glass and picture into the frame and tape a piece of cardboard to the back to keep everything in place.
