Letter and Number Cookies
Bake your own letter and number cookies and leave them for your party guests to decorate!
Ingredients and Materials: Makes 24 cookies depending on size of cutters
Directions
Pre-heat your oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit (200 Celsius).
Cream together softened butter and confectioner’s sugar in a mixer with paddle attachment.
Crack the egg into a separate bowl. Add the vanilla flavoring. Mix together.
Add egg and vanilla mixture to the mixer. Mix until it is thoroughly incorporated.
In a separate bowl, sift together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Add little by little to the mixer.
The dough is ready when most of it sticks to the paddle. Take dough out of mixer and wrap in clear wrap. Rest dough for about 10 minutes.
Roll out on parchment to about 1/4 inch thick, using flour for dusting.
Cut shapes using cookie cutters.
Bake at 400 degrees pre-heated oven (200 Celsius) for 7-8 minutes until lightly golden.
