Talking About Honesty with Xavier Riddle and the Secret Museum

"Honesty means doing the right thing and telling the truth, even when it’s hard."
Conversations have real power for kids - in helping both relationships and social skills grow! Talking about what you watch can be a great way to have great interactions. These moments with Xavier, Brad, and Yadina help create ways to talk about some of life’s most important lessons and skills. Take a few moments to watch this video and answer the questions below - or make up a few of your own!
In this clip, Xavier makes a difficult decision while racing Berby. He is reminded that President Abraham Lincoln showed us how important it is to be honest.
First, ask your child:
- What did you notice? What questions do you have?
Then, discuss with your child what you noticed and ask questions like:
Why did Xavier take a shortcut during the race?
How do you think Xavier felt after he took the shortcut?
What do you think it means to be honest?
Tell me about a time when it was hard to be honest, but it was the right thing to do.

Follow Xavier, Yadina and Brad as they tackle everyday problems by traveling back in time!
