Talking About Responsibility with Xavier Riddle and the Secret Museum

"Responsibility means making good choices and taking care of who and what’s around you."
Conversations have real power for kids - in helping both relationships and social skills grow! Talking about what you watch can be a great way to have great interactions. These moments with Xavier, Brad, and Yadina help create ways to talk about some of life’s most important lessons and skills. Take a few moments to watch this video and answer the questions below - or make up a few of your own!
In this clip, Xavier is in charge of watching over the class pet, Shelly. He is reminded of how George Washington Carver showed us that it’s our responsibility to take care of the earth.
First, ask your child:
- What did you notice? What questions do you have?
Then, discuss with your child what you noticed and ask questions like:
What was Xavier responsible for doing during recess?
How do you think Xavier felt when Yadina asked him to come out to recess?
Why do you think Xavier made the choice to stay inside with Shelly?
Tell me about a time when you practiced being responsible?

Follow Xavier, Yadina and Brad as they tackle everyday problems by traveling back in time!
