INNOVATIVE DESIGN STUDY

123

Architect: Studio Daniel Libeskind
Libeskind, whose site design was ultimately selected as the winner, left the footprints of the original twin towers open, but suggested that a museum be cantilevered over top that would be the entrance to a future memorial. He also proposed an elevated walkway, called the Memorial Promenade, to surround the site.
