The Government of Tibet in Exile
This large site is a gateway for keeping up-to-date on Tibet and for information on history and culture. The site is maintained by The Office of Tibet, the official agency of His Holiness the Dalai Lama. It offers articles, news reports, a map of Tibet pre-Chinese invasion, encyclopedia-style statistics about the country, and links on Tibetan Buddhism, the Panchen Lama controversy and much more.

The International Campaign for Tibet
ICT is a leading organization working to promote human rights and freedoms in Tibet. Its site offers information about ICT's projects and legislative activities and includes diverse material - from "Seven Things You Can Do for Tibet," to "Reflections on Deng Xiaoping's Role in Tibet," to U.S. State Department reports from 1994-97. Plus, links to other sites for additional information.

China's View
For something completely different - China's perspective - check out the China Internet Information Center's website. It has White Papers on Tibet and articles on the "Human Rights Situation" and "Exposing the Trickery of the Dalai Lama". There's also a RealVideo ninety-minute documentary on the Dalai Lama "based on historical materials and files."

The Nobel Prize Internet Archive: Dalai Lama
The Nobel Prize site has links to the Dalai Lama's 1989 acceptance speech, to books by and about him (and links for ordering books), plus related material which has been added by visitors.

A site for activists: latest news, 'how to join' information, readings on Chinese repression and a network of links to groups involved in the campaign worldwide.
