Art21 encourages you to create your own screening event with your favorite artists and episodes to fit your audience's needs. Connect the ideas in the series to your site's current exhibitions, ongoing programs, or works in your permanent collection. Explore a range of topics by hosting multiple events or by inviting other local institutions to collaborate. We strongly encourage you to consider Art21 screenings as a platform for a continued exploration and discussion of contemporary art.

Art:21’s public programs and outreach initiatives enhance the accessibility of the “Art:21—Art in the Twenty-First Century” series by extending it into homes, schools, and communities. Art:21 reaches
out to audiences worldwide by supporting local programs through a range
of partnerships with museums, community-based organizations, and educational
institutions. From screening events and public programs, to special projects
with artists, to the dissemination of series-related materials and other
publicity efforts, Art:21’s outreach efforts engage diverse public
audiences in the art and ideas presented in the broadcast series and
accompanying resources. Programs take place on college and university
campuses, in community centers, museums, galleries, and art centers,
creating a sense of community among viewers, artists, educators, and
arts professionals. To date, Art:21’s outreach programs have involved
over one million people across the country and around the world, from
Honolulu to Houston, Baltimore to Bangalore.
HOW TO HOST AN EVENT
If you’re interested in bringing the television series to your community,
this is the place to start. This section provides suggestions for taking
charge of planning, promoting, and implementing an event using the television
