help
In order to experience the fullest potential of the Art:21 Web site, you may
need to outfit your computer with the appropriate application, switch browsers,
or adjust a few settings on your computer.
Internet Browser
The Art:21 Web site has been optimized for use with Internet Explorer 5.0 or
higher. While the site is viewable with Netscape, AOL, Safari, Firefox, Mozilla,
and other browsers, we recommend that in each case you use a browser which is
the most recent version or release.
Printing
If you are having difficulty reading text when printing, try turning off "background
printing" on your printer's settings. All text that occurs within color
blocks will print as black type on a white background.
Video Clips
In order to view the clips on this site, you will need to download one of three
readily available online media players:
• Real
Player
• Windows
Media Player
• Quicktime
Player
Select the media file which is appropriate for your connection speed (56k modem
or dsl/cable connection).
Macromedia Flash
Several special features of the site—such as the Art:Finder and the Art:21
Home Page—utilize Flash. You will need to download a Macromedia
Flash plug-in.
"The Alphabet Synthesis Machine"
For those on a Macintosh or Apple computer, you may need to download the latest
Mac OS Runtime for Java (MRJ) in order to launch "The Alphabet Synthesis
Machine." You can download this software from the Apple
computer Web site. After you create your PC-formatted TrueType font, you
may need to convert it for use on your Apple computer. You may download a TTF
converter from The
Font Pool. |
