"Spinning Room (1970/2008), which is the video room, was a piece from the ’70s. At that time I couldn’t build it because of the difficulty of sending a video signal while it was spinning (having four cameras spin around, sending the signal, and then being able to pick up the signal and send it to projectors live). I was interested in the idea of abstracting—that when you turn something upside down you see it in a completely different way, like in architecture."
