Effects:
Massive explosion blast (shock wave), intense heat, electromagnetic pulse effects, intense radiation near detonation site; death from trauma or significant radiation sickness from direct ionizing radiation and from fallout
Treatment:
Ionizing radiation causes no unique disease; treatment depends on type of radiation, total dose and dose rate, extent of exposure, and factors such as the age and health of the victim.
